Hope Whispers reveals A Soul in Peril

Barbara Watkins was inspired to write her poem, A Soul in Peril while writing her latest manuscript, Hollowing Screams. “It touches on the aspects of schizophrenia and paranoia and what devastating affect these diseases have on a person’s mind and body,” she explained. She began feeling depressed while writing some of the material, but she put pen to paper and the words began to flow:

Desperate to break free my spirit soars high

Only to be beaten down from its inner demons

“These lines from A Soul in Peril signify how I would imagine it feels to be trapped in such a terrifying disease,” she said. But her poem ends on a positive note as the struggle to overcome this disease continues.

Barbara’s latest book is entitled, “Nightmares & Daydreams.”  It’s a collection of five short stories and poetry in the genres of paranormal, suspense, horror and romance.  To read an excerpt, please go to:  http://www.freado.com/book/1537/Nightmares-&-Daydreams
